Mike Litman's conversation with Jack Canfield
I'm in the process of reading Mike Litman's book of Conversation with Millionaires. Wonderful to have all the INGREDIENTS of success in one book. I'm at Chpt 4 by the way - conversation with Jack Canfield.
One of the more fascinating thing that Jack Canfield mentioned is that one of the biggest stopper for one to be successful is that you think you're not enough..whether enough money, not enough capital, not enough knowledge. You're going to feel that you're not enough to do anything. This is true for a whole lot of people (especially myself!). To make it enough is to just do the action and learn from experience. So I started to do something that I was not comfortable today and I did it even though I did not made a sale today. The other thing is that it is not BEING a millionaire that make a person successful but it is WHO I HAVE TO BE to become a millionaire. It does not matter if you lose all the money but if you KNOW you can create it again, does it matter? U may need strenghten your sales or your public speaking skills and all it's needed to be. It would be scary at first but once you conquer your fear, u become a better person. I think sometimes we are just afraid to ask - worry that we would be humiliated or rejected. Just try
To a colleague of mind who had just moved to another company - We miss you already and good luck in your new career and company. We know you'll do great anywhere you are.

Giving is the Key
What a good trip and a wonderful at one too.
I just came back from MAKNA which is the national cancer society which was situated in KL,(Jalan Ampang, behind Holiday Villa if anybody interested). MAKNA not only supports cancer patients but also unfortunate ones. I went to the HQ not knowing what to expect...with my 3 yr old son and ended up having lots of fun with my son too. I came as a volunteer helping what ever I can do and Adam helped too with envelopes and putting pencil box in the plastics with books.(He did not asked for the stuff in the pencil box either!!) I was so proud of him. The other group was doing patch work but I'm not really the sewing type...besides they did not have enough sewing machine(I know excuses right?). Thinking of doing one project with my company...see how it goes
We then went HUKM, one of the hospitals in KL to learn the basic nursing care...I think we should at least learn to physically help them too. Great experience and learned how to change sheets, bathing the patients. I was a bit surprise to see not many patients.
I used to do a lot of stuff when I was in college and a lot of them slowed down when I started work and have kids. Just thinking when I read Mike Litman's Conversation with Millionaires about helping others and giving to others. I realize that I don't give enough money wise and especially efforts. Vacation in Jakarta
I'm back!!!!!
I just came back from Jakarta, Indonesia with the whole family including my parents and sisters and even my Indonesian maid(I think she was thrilled to come back)and of course my dear kids. Met wonderful indonesians who helped us with ...shopping. Everything was so cheap. I found few contacts for my next shop. I just need to get it started.
On second day we went to Bandung which was 3-4 hrs away from Jakarta. Bandung is at the highlands and famous for it's factory outlet. We were there for the whole day and went back to Jakarta by nite. I thot it was a bit tough for my kids as we were travelling quite extensively but luckily both were at good behaviors.Bought branded stuff at the factory outlet(even at limited time). I aim to sell them with good profits!!!. We did not go up the hill though as it will take another 3 hrs of winding roads up the hill.
We also went to Monash, it's a monument which signifies the freedom of Indonesia. What a walk as they did not allow vehicles to come in. With my big adam and hot aisyah, it was a bit of struggle but we finally saw the view from the observatory.
It was a wonderful vacation. I just hope we can come again

Weddings and Marriages and Money
I love weddings! Congratulations to two of my collegues who are getting married this weekend....07.07.2007. Good luck charm number. It's when two person destined to be with each other and starting a new chapter in their life. I know there's always worries about the unknown future and joy of being with our loved ones and also chaos with wedding arrangements. To me, just enjoy the journey.
Talking about marriage. Guess what is the most common issue that couples argue about? Yup that's right..it's about money. It maybe because of lack of it but most of the time for young couple, it's not because of lack but because of the blueprint of our money in our mental mind. (Previously for me, it was because of my principle.) U need be aware of it as in the Secrets of Millionaire Mind book. One spouse may have a different blueprint than the other. So we need to understand and together make changes to it. Both would need to work on it
I can't wait to see the fellow NLPiers tomorrow. CU soon.
